Open Question: I want to buy a domain name but it is not on Godaddy.com?
I have a domain I want to buy, but it is not on godaddy.com. It says it is taken and that I can use their service to have them receive in contact with the owner however I do not want to spend 70$ for them to do that. When I type the domain name in it comes up as "Site not found". The .org is taken. I want the .com. Perhaps the website is not taken? Any suggestions on how I need to go about to do this? Thanks. Ugh, did Whois. They told me another Domain company owned it. I went to the website, searched the domain and they are telling me I have to use their service and I have to make an offer to the owner. Whois told me they were the owner?

I am in the process of rebuilding my photography / image editing business website and have decided upon a change of domain name. I have several ideas floating around in my head, but would welcome some suggestions:-) The domain shouldn't exceed 10 characters. Open Question: What do you think about how the website campaign contributions are being collected by the...?
...McCain and Obama camps? below the campaign finance law re:contributions to Major Party Nominees in the General Election. The regulations also dictate that contributions may not be made by foreign nationals AT every. The McCain campaign web site asks about US Citizenship and asks for proof (Birth Cert) when making a donation from a foreign Internet domain and takes the CVT number from credit cards to prevent fraudulent donations (donations made to other people's credit cards). The Obama campaign web site allows completely anonymous donations from anywhere without regard to citizenship allowing foreign nationals to make donations. Also because they don't require the CVT number off the credit card fradulent donations can be made. A test was done by a news commentator and they made a $15 donation below "Bill Ayers" name and it was processed. The commentator showed a $15 debit charge! What do you think? Fair? How many Hamas and Al Queda contributions are going to Obama?

Open Question: Is it possible to buy those ad-domains?
You know...you'll be bored and enter something like curiosity.com, lolz.com, freedomfries.com, etc, and you'll receive that...well, it's difficult to explain...go to those sites and you'll look what I mean, hopefully. Back? It's like a domain that was purchased for the sole reason of redirecting browsers to a page with a bunch of text ads on it, hoping somebody would find it. I don't know what they're actually called, if they even have a name, but they've become increasingly annoying (and more common) recently. Any help would be appreciated - I thought maybe cybersquatting (but, like, in reverse) but it seemed to me like there must be a better way. Almost like whoever buys these domains hopes people like me will receive fed up and offer an immense sum of money for their domain. Whaddaya think? Crisis //

How do I automatically modify text? 1. Stripping out text I have a list of email addresses, and I want to strip out the username section of the email address so that I am left with a list of domain names which I can then sort (e.g. gmail.com, yahoo.com). I need to do this to sort out how many of my email subscribers arrive from each domain. I have around 3,000 subscribers. 2. I need some major help. I have a terrible teacher, and have no idea how to do this project she gave us. THE TASKS 1. Create a roller coaster using the graphs of functions. • Use polynomial functions to create your roller coasters • Your functions must be continuous at every points. • Your polynomial functions must connect—they must have points in common. (Of course, this excludes the start and finish of your coaster.) • You must have a minimum of five functions. The maximum number of functions you may have is ten. • You must have at least five different degrees of polynomial functions. You may have no more than two repeating degrees of polynomial functions. • Each polynomial function graphed must contain at least one relative maxima and one relative minima. • Label the graph of each function in your roller coaster. • You may use different colored pencils in graphing your roller coaster. • Tip: do not pick “crazy” points of connection between your equations. Rather, have them connect at “nice” points of intersection. For instance, x = 3 is a nice point of intersection, while x = .873 is not. • Tip: have your roller coaster start at the origin. • Tip: initially create your polynomials in factored form—this will easily give you the roots. 2. The Functions • Create a “key” of the polynomial functions and their equations so that they can be referenced when analyzing your coaster. • The domains and range for each polynomial must be provided • The relative maxima and minima must be provided—approximate these values to the nearest 100th. • You must describe the end behavior of each polynomial. I possess a domain at this site: http://www.123-reg.co.uk/ and I have made a forum at this site: http://www.forumer.com/ Forumer allows me to create a forum below the sub-domain forumer (like this: rmkingdom.forumer.com) it also allows me to use my possess domain in the administrators control panel. When I try to insert my domain name though, I receive the following mistake: "rmkingdom.com (194.154.164.82) is not resolving to 69.64.33.219, contains prohibited IP address or domain name. If you have just setup your domain redirection, please allow upto 24 hours before entering your domain into Domain Manager" I have waited 24 hours, what do I do?

Open Question: I have 4 pcs on a wireless network all using a wep key. I have now got a new laptop...?
I have now got a new laptop and (the laptop) can look the wireless network but instead of asking for a key like everything else on the network (even the printer asked for a wep key) it asks for "additional log on information is required to connect to this network" then asks for "user name", "password" and "logon domain".....
